Information

We will be updating this page with any information we think you may need in the run up to the wedding.

In the meantime, feel free to contact us directly if you have any questions.

Dress Code

Come as you're comfortable. Fancy suits are fine with us. Dungarees, actively encouraged. If you wake up in the morning and comfy joggers is your limit, we are glad you could make it!

Footwear-wise, Whirlow Brook Hall is situated in some beautiful grounds you can wander around, and weather permitting, we're hoping to have some games on the grass outside.

Illness and Covid

Some of our friends and family are immunocompromised, vulnerable, or care for those who are, so we'd really appreciate it if you could take a Covid test before joining the party. If you're feeling unwell on the day or test positive for Covid, please don't attend. We won't be upset, we wish you a speedy recovery and are grateful for not putting our loved ones at risk.

Entertainment

Most of you who know us well will understand our fondness for all things boardgames. There will be a good selection of games for everyone to enjoy, and please feel free to bring your own if you would like. We will also have Mario Kart, Mario Party and Jackbox games available if anyone's feeling competitive.

We aren't having a DJ (Ryan hates them with a passion), but there'll be some music on our playlist going on so make sure you send us your requests!

Quiet Space

We know large events with lots of noise and people can be overwhelming. At Whirlow Brook Hall we're lucky to have several rooms at our disposal. There will be a quiet room where you can retreat for a little peace and quiet should you need it.

Gifts/Donations

We've been together for over a decade and over the years we've been able to make our house a home with everything we might need. However if instead you would like to make a donation to our chosen charity, we'd be honoured to accept donations for Martin House Children's Hospice, a charity very close to our hearts.

Martin House provides hospice care for children and young people across West, North and East Yorkshire with life limiting conditions.

Any donations can be made via our JustGiving page or directly to us for donation on your behalf. Thank you.

Accommodation

For friends and family who are travelling from further afield than Sheffield, there is no overnight accommodation at the venue itself. We will be staying at Mercure Sheffield Kenwood Hall & Spa. If you mention our names for an overnight booking on the 7th of September, a small number of rooms are available at a discounted rate for our wedding. First come, first served.

There is also the DoubleTree by Hilton, Sheffield Park a short taxi ride away.
